Healthy afternoon

I've had a day filled with work in the morning and then running errands in the afternoon. I made a trip to Trader Joe's to restock the fridge and pantry.

I also stopped at Whole Foods and loaded up. I got a lot of stuff on sale, I definitely got more then I planned on.

While I was there I picked up a salad from the salad bar for dinner. Jeff's out tonight watching the UFC fight on paper view, and I opted out of that one. So a salad sounded like the perfect dinner.

Here's the run down: mixed greens, spinach, carrots, broccoli, regular quinoa, red quinoa, wheat berries, tofu, artichoke hearts, hummus, cranberries, hemp seeds, soy nuts, nutritional yeast, feta, and a falafel pattie, okay that may be it.

I also picked up some sparkling mineral water that's lemon raspberry flavored. I haven't had diet pop in 6 months and it hasn't been a problem. But with the summer time brings the craving of a nice cold glass of diet soda. I'm a little tired of just water, tea, and iced tea, this totally hit the spot. It has no sugar, no sugar substitutes, no calories or carbs, just water and natural flavors.

  3. I love mineral water, and Zevia - I agree, it's amazing! It IS, however, super sweet!

That salad is da bomb! I love all the veggie proteins, and nutritional yeast is so good on anything!
