Layers of flavor


For breakfast this morning I wanted something different, problem is I still haven't made it to the store to get groceries. I decided on french toast yet I didn't have a loaf of bread. I did however have some Great Harvest whole wheat rolls. I sliced one roll into three layers and dipped it in a egg mix of egg white, cinnamon, and soymilk.

I warmed up some spiced chunky applesauce and layered it in between each layer.

Once stacked up it was topped with some cinnamon, raisins, and pure maple syrup.

The combo was delicious but the roll ended up being a little too dense to be used for french toast. I think I'm going to have to stop at Great Harvest and get some bread so I can try this again.
