Linner time

Today has been such a nice relaxing day, Jeff and I spent the whole day together. It started with a lazy morning around the house, then shopping for a new pickup (which we didn't get, but I was a good negotiator), after that we had lunch, and then stopped at Trader Joe's to pick up some groceries.

For lunch we went to a local brewery Hopworks. We have been to Hopworks twice before and loved it. Hopworks mission is to be sustainable as well as use local and organic ingredients. All of the decor it made out of reclaimed wood and metals, as well as a lot of different bike parts. The owner is big into biking and it is a big piece to the Hopworks mantra.

We started off with an iced tea for me and a IPA for Jeff, the beer is also all organic.

We then shared the hummus platter. The hummus even had chunks of whole chickpeas in it. I love a hummus that comes with a lot of veggies for dipping.

I had the house made black bean burger on a whole grain bun, minus the cheese and aoili, basically the vegan version. I gave half of my avocado to Jeff, it was just too much for me. I only ate half of the bun and then I added the rest of the burger to my salad.

Jeff had a free range grilled chicken sandwich. You could tell that the chicken was very high quality organic, all natural, free range chicken. It was definitely a premium chicken sandwich.

We are calling this linner since we finished eating around 3:30pm and we usually eat dinner at 5pm. We are planning on having some frozen yogurt later and taking it easy this evening. Overall it's been a perfect day and definitely a fun and perfect weekend.
