Set and forget

Dinner was simple tonight. This afternoon I threw the makings of turkey chili into the crock pot and let it simmer all afternoon.

Turkey chili
Tj's lean ground turkey (pre cooked in a pan)
1 can kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can diced tomatoes and juice
1 can tomato paste
1 cup water
diced carrots, celery, and onion
(I like to sneak veggies into everything, it actually works really well in chili. You just have to pick the right ones.)
chili powder, pepper, salt, and oregano (I found out I was out of cumin, oh the tragedy)
simmer on high for 4 hrs

Served with some Organic valley low fat sour cream

I also had the last of the watermelon, and it was on its last leg.
