Dinner date

Tonight we went out to dinner. We went to one of our favorite restaurants Pastini's.

We usually don't get appetizers but their brushetta is so good. We had the country-style bread brushed with olive oil then grilled, served with a roasted eggplant spread and tomatoes marinated with garlic and fresh basil.

I had two pieces like this.

For dinner Jeff had the lamb cavatappi and I had the artichoke chicken salad with diced chicken breast and artichoke hearts tossed with feta cheese, roasted red peppers and olives, on a bed of fresh mixed greens with roasted tomato vinaigrette.

I picked out the olives and got the dressing on the side, and I also skipped the bread.
