Jeff's cooking yippee

Jeff fixed dinner tonight for the two of us since I wasn't feeling good. I gave him some suggestions from what we had in the fridge and pantry, and he put together dinner.

He made some Tj's tomato soup and even put some herbs on it for picture taking. He also made a sandwich with a slice of toasted Great Harvest honey whole wheat with a Gardenburger on top, and a fried egg (but not fried, just cooked in a non skillet pan) on top of the Gardenburger. I added a little dollop of ketchup.

I typically wouldn't have bread for lunch and dinner, but I'm just keeping it simple today and not really worrying about it. I can't believe I haven't had really any fruits and veggies today. It's been a carb and protein day.

It was the perfect combination and so tasty. I love my husband, he's been so good to me today.

  1. Oh, how cute! Love that he cooked! And it's healthy! :) I had a boyfriend who used to love cooking... but I swear he used more butter than Paula Deen- so really, I wasn't nearly as excited (although it's the thought that counts, I guess).

  2. He eats healthy also and is pretty observant of how I cook. So it makes it easier.

  3. So that's what he looks like. Cute and wonderful husband, and great kitchen, doesn't get much better than that. I remember when he cooked the cornish game hens a few weeks ago. He's getting to be a regular in the kitchen.

I hope you're feeling better soon!

  4. Does your husband have a brother? I have a daughter that would be a great catch for him.
