Scottish oatmeal

I woke up this morning and went to make myself breakfast, only to find out Jeff ate the last of the eggs. We are running low on groceries and I thought we had one last carton of eggs, but it must not have been full. So I had to do some quick thinking and find some other source of protein. The only thing I could find was cottage cheese. I had some hot cereal and a little bowl of cottage cheese with a cup of white tea.

Hot Cereal
1/4 cup Bob's Scottish oatmeal
2 TB. Bob's apple cinnamon hot cereal
1/3 cup water
splash soymilk
topped with pear sauce, cinnamon, and a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut.

  1. What's the difference between Scottish oatmeal and regular?

  2. Scottish Oatmeal
Oatmeal originated in Scotland centuries ago and was different from our modern rolled oats. A coarse meal was produced by slowly grinding the kernel between two large mill stones. Our Scottish Oatmeal is produced in the same old fashioned way and contains all the health giving nutrients of the best quality oats from which it was ground--the germ, the oil and the fiber. The result is a surprisingly unique and flavorful hot cereal.

    Basically it's coarser and chewier.
