Workout

Today I did a circuit workout. I did 1 set of chest, with some plyometrics in between, and than 1 set of back, and than more plyometrics, and 1 set shoulders, and than interval training, 1 set biceps, and more interval training, and than 1 set triceps. After that I did 10 min. of max speed on the spinning bike.

On an exertions chart of 1-10 and 10 being max, I was working at a 9 or 10 exertion for those 10min.

I repeated this circuit 3 times and than finished strong with a solid 20 min. on the spinning bike alternating a moderate speed with all out sprints. Total bike time was 50 min.

Interval training:

Interval training is an excellent way to burn more calories, build endurance quickly and make workouts more interesting. Interval training involves alternating high intensity exercise with recovery periods.
Circuit Training:
Training technique that involves moving from one exercise to another, each exercise working a different muscle group until each muscle has been worked. It can include strength training stations, cardio stations or a mixture of the two. The purpose is to keep the heart rate elevated.
Plyometrics:
Explosive movements to increase balance, speed, and agility.

  1. This sounds like a kick ass workout!! Nice job!

Just noticed you were from Oregon. I've only been once, but my husband's dad and his dad's side of the family lives out there so there will be many more Oregon trips in my future :)
