Knock knock

I heard a knock at the door and knew who it must be. When I opened the door it was there waiting for me.

My delivery of produce, this delivery is definitely featuring fall produce.

I received a lovely pint of cherry tomatoes in various colors.

A pretty head of lettuce

I loaded everything into an empty vegetable bin and it's all ready to go for the week.

More produce lovin

I also received a bunch of these beans. I saw them at the farmers market yesterday, but I'm not sure what to do with them.

Peaches and apples, perfect for September.
Welcome back pears, I have missed you so much, especially on my salads.

I was excited to see I got some more of those little onions. They are the perfect size for cooking. I also received two small little red bell peppers.
Evening plans
Tonight I will be heading to a fancy art exhibit that I'm helping out at. I believe I will be passing appetizers around. It's probably going to be a late night for me. My friend Tara and I are also planning on going to happy hour before the event for a light dinner.

Now I'm going downtown on a Thursday night and wont be home until late, wow I'm like a non working social butterfly.

A bounty of fruits and veggies

On our way home we stopped at the corner fruit stand that sells veggies and berries during the summer from one of the local farms. I picked up 1/2 a flat of strawberries, a pint of Rainier cherries, and some asparagus.

While we were out of town our produce delivery arrived. My friend and neighbor Troy put it away for me, unfortunately by the time we got home some of the produce had already wilted and had to be thrown out.
In the delivery was:
lettuce
celery
spinach
carrots
cucumber
zucchini
peaches
apples
sweet potatoes
potatoes
strawberries
grapes

You can tell we are moving in to the growing season, this was our largest delivery we have ever received.

Delivery day

After work I headed to the gym for an upper body workout with some heavy weights, I mean heavy. Followed by 50 min. on the stairs, I was a sweaty mess after that's how hard I worked. When I drove up the driveway I had this little box waiting for me that I was expecting.

The gift of fruits and veggies, well the gift that I paid for myself.

Loaded with a good selection, even better then what there website said I was getting this week. I really do enjoy my every two week's delivery of organic and local produce. It is the best quality of fruits and veggies.

And now my fruit bowl is loaded back up. I just have to wait for some of it to ripen.

Spinach, salad greens, apples, oranges, nectarines, cantaloupe, tomatoes, garlic, carrots, mango, avocado, potatoes, and probably more then I can remember.

Tonights cooking supplies using stuff from today's delivery.

Tj's chicken lime burger on top of a toasted Ezekial english muffin with hummus on one side and Tj's bbq sauce on the other (best bbq sauce). And loaded with a sliced tomatoe, lettuce, and spinach.
