Did you know that we need a small amount of healthy fats in every meal in order to absorb all the healthy nutrients, especially from fruits and veggies.
The healthy fats include extra-virgin olive, nuts, seeds, avocados, and coconuts. These healthy fats should be consumed with every meal. Failure to include these fats in a meal will result in many of the nutrients consumed during the meal not being absorbed by the body. That's because many nutrients are fat-soluble nutrients. It doesn't take much fat, by the way, to aid the absorption of these important vitamins and nutrients.
We all new healthy fats were good for us, but did you know how important they really were for you. This is why I use almond butter, peanut butter, raw nuts, chia seeds, flax seeds, unsweetened coconut and coconut oils, and cook with olive oil. I also use vinaigrette's instead of fat free dressings.
On a side note foods that are labeled as fat free are usually filled with chemicals and preservatives, not something you want in your body.
Say yes to healthy fats and include them in your meals, you will end up being healthier and fitter if you do.
