The day after

The day after a holiday usually all you have to show for it is presents and leftover food. I think the best part is the leftovers, it makes the next day tasty and easy.

In the mix: Bob's apple cinnamon hot cereal, oat bran, water, and almond milk.

Topped with: warmed up pear sauce, all natural pb, Tj's low fat vanilla almond granola, and leftover strawberries.

V-day weekend

In this morning's mix: Oat bran, Bob's spice n nice hot cereal, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

Topped with: Warm pear sauce, unsweetened coconut, all natural pb, dried cranberries, and Quaker squares.

Tomorrow I have a really special V-day breakfast planned, so make sure you check it out.

But for now I'm off to work and then heading to the gym afterwords. I was super sore yesterday and I also had dinner plans. So I ended up taking yesterday as a rest day.

Back to normal

Everything seems to be all back to normal including oats for breakfast.

In the mix:
1/4 cup oat bran
2 TB. Bob's spice n nice hot cereal
splash organic non fat milk (I don't really like milk, but I'm trying to use it up)
hot water

Topped with blueberries, all natural pb, pure maple syrup, Quaker squares, and Bear Naked vanilla almond granola. The blueberries and maple syrup give the oats a nice blueberry pancake taste, yum.

Now if I could just get my email worked out then things would be perfect.

Cookie's

Last nights cookie party at my friends house was a lot of fun. We made dozens after dozens of cookies for her co workers. I took a little sampling home that I'm going to freeze and save for Christmas. I brought home a peanut butter kiss, moos poop (that's what I was told it was called), and the best one of the night lemon white chocolate chip.

After all my baking yesterday breakfast was simple this morning.
In the pot:
1/4 cup various Bob's hot cereals
splash soymilk
1 cup hot water
1/4 of a diced pear stirred in at the end

Topped with
Yogi walnut spice granola
unsweetened coconut

Mis match

What could it be for breakfast today?

A mix of leftover hot cereals. On my last Bob's red mill run I bought a bunch of hot cereals. Well each one didn't completely fit in the jars I put them in. So whatever was left went into another jar and now that jar is a hot cereal mis match. I used up some of that mis match this morning.
In the pot:
1/4 cup Bob's hot cereal mix
2 TB. quick cook oats (for texture)
1.5 cups hot water
splash soymilk
1/4 tsp. chia seeds

Topped with the most delicious toppings
raisins, granola, dark chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut, and peach all fruit spread.

Warm and toasty

Today I felt like hot creamy hot cereal.
In the pot:
1/4 cup Bob's apple cinnamon hot cereal
1 TB. oat bran
1.5 cups hot water
splash soymilk

Topped with
almond flax butter
sliced banana
homemade granola (the last of it, I need to make some more)
raisins

My appetite in the morning has not been there this weekend. It must be the extra carbs at dinner. Time to get back to regular eating.

Flip flop

1/4 cup Bob's cream of wheat
2 TB. oats
1/4 cup water
splash of soymilk
mix together
topped with
applesauce
almond butter
unsweetened coconut

This was not a winning combination. The combination of cream of wheat and oats was not a very good texture or taste. Usually all my combinations work, but this one was a flop.

It was a little soupy so I added some Tj's low fat almond granola and mixed berry granola. It still tasted horrible so I added a drizzle of raw honey and that helped. This was a very filling bowl of oats, I couldn't even eat it all and now I'm left feeling very full.

It's Wednesday

Another wet rainy morning here.

Oh no my blueberries are sinking, must be some hot cereal.

1/4 cup Bob's cream of wheat
1 TB. apple cinnamon hot cereal
1 TB. regular oats
1/4 tsp. chia seeds
1/4 of a banana sliced
mix together
topped with
unsweetened coconut
frozen blueberries

With a little crunch from some Yogi walnut spice and Galaxy granola in raspberry. I need to make another test batch of granola, I am all out, I gave them all away.

If you are still intersted in being a tester for my new granola company just leave me a comment with your email address or email me at Roydelburg@gmail.com I am putting together a list. If you have already requested to be on the taste test list I will be contacting you shortly.

I'm off to Wednesday dancers workout and kickboxing. We might be starting a new round today. Either way I know it'll be the toughest workout of the week, and my life. Each week Danielle the instructor makes it more intense, which is what I love. I wanna challenge my body each week and work harder then the previous week.

Power breakfast

I had some of my new Mighty Leaf in green tea tropical. I had it in one of my favorite cups, my Starbucks San Diego mug. The picture on the mug is where we got married, at the Hotel Del Coronado. It was the most prefect wedding ever.

I made some chocolate banana oats today, yum
1/4 cup quick cook oats
2 TB. apple cinnamon hot cereal (best hot cereal ever)
1/4 cup water
splash soymilk
1/4 of a very small banana chopped up
1/4 tsp. unsweetened cocoa
(I learned my lesson from last week, just a dash of cocoa this time)
mix together
topped with
peach all fruit spread and some Yogi walnut spice granola

The bowl of scrambled egg whites. It's so tasty, but better you don't see it. I basically make a patty of egg whites with some salt and pepper in a non stick skillet and cook it. Than I add it to a bowl when it's done, squeeze a tiny bit of ketchup, and chop it up.
